The location was best possible, within easy walking distance of Hob Hurst's House. And it was also just next door to Bakewell, the main bus station, and the centre. There were a multi-channel television and a coffee maker provided.
The room was a little tired.

The red lion hotel was super cozy and we got a friendly greeting on arrival. The complimentary snacks in the room were a nice surprise and kept us entertained. The beds were really comfy! It was really quiet at night, which i liked.
The hairdryer was broken and took a while to be replaced. We had to ask for our tea and coffee to be restocked. A bit of a letdown overall.

The Deluxe Double Room was super comfy, and we loved the free coffee in the lounge area every morning! There were cozy spots to unwind and a fun game room to enjoy during downtime. The bathroom seemed a bit worn and could use a refresh, but overall, we had a blast. 😊

This pub is ideally located for walkers and families. We loved the convenience of nearby shops and the fantastic meals served here. The staff were friendly and accommodating, our whole family, including our two small kids, felt at home.
My kids wished for a bigger play area for outdoor fun. It would have.

great stay but with room for improvement
The bed provided an excellent night's sleep, with crisp linen that felt fresh. The shower was excellent, delivering a powerful experience that rivals top hotels.
The room could benefit from a refresh as it felt slightly dated.

The decor was charmingly rustic. The common areas were accessible, allowing easy navigation of all ages. The inviting fires made it the perfect spot to relax after a day out.
